In the Northern European Province of the RSHM, sisters work in Ireland, England, Scotland, Wales and France but individuals spend time serving in other countries of this international Institute.
The Institute of the Sacred Heart of Mary was founded on the 24th February 1849 in Beziers, France. Inspired by the Gospel, a group of women gathered together to promote a better quality of life for all - locally and globally.
The Mission Statement of the RSHM develops the RSHM motto taken from Jn.10, 10
" Ut vitam habeant"
(That all may have life)
